You can participate in this event either by being a Provincial Direct Entry or by entering the Wild Card Draw--both avenues lead to the championship round.
Provincial Direct Entry
Provinces can hold a play down to determine their men's and women's entry. If provinces do not hold a play down they can opt to assign their direct entry spots to the players of their choosing in each of the two contest categories (men/women).
Wild Card Draw
Players who do not win their provincial play downs or who are not assigned a 'provincial direct entry spot' by their province can enter the Wild Card Draw, which is a play down to determine which players will move into the championship draw.
