On Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21, twelve under 18-year-old bowlers vied for the junior title. The venue had been moved, due to club green condition, to the Artificial Green at 1212 Dakota. In two groups of six, the first three games of the round robin were played in 20-24 degrees weather. Then the clouds rolled in and thunder, lightning, and hail interrupted play four times. After the fifth game, a tie-breaker was played followed by the two semi-finals. The final match went until after 9 pm with no interruption.

Devon Nickerson from St.James LBC emerged champion, repeating his 2007 victory; and Derek Venderbos from Norwood LBC, in his first month of bowling, was the proud runner-up.
